    Maryam Rajavi: The Iranian people’s right to resistance and freedom needs to be recognized.

    the iranian people_s right to resistance and freedom needs to be recognized

    Masoud Dalvand (Freedom Star): On January 10, during a trip to the Middle East, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at the American University of Cairo in Egypt delivered a keynote speech on key issues in the Middle East.

    Pompeo mentioned important points in this address on Iran.

    In this regard, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance, issued an important statement and on behalf of the Iranian resistance, articulated the demands that had been emphasized since 1981.

    Therefore, in the current situation in cities throughout Iran for more than a year, protests and strikes by different classes of the people are under way to change the regime of religious dictatorship and the establishment of freedom, democracy and justice, it is necessary to pay attention to this important statement of the leadership of the resistance of Iran. The right of the Iranian people to resist and achieve freedom after 40 years of the Mullahs dictatorship must be recognized.

    I draw your attention to this important statement.

    ‌The U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo declared in Cairo that the United States will no longer protect Iran’s ruling mullahs. He said, “We joined the Iranian people in calling for freedom and accountability.” Therefore, “The age of self-inflicted American shame is over, and so are the policies that produced so much needless suffering.”

    The U.S. Secretary of State reiterated that when America partners with enemies such as the mullahs, “they advance.”

    Maryam Rajavi welcomed the United States’ distancing itself from policies whose first victims have been the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance.

    She once again underscored the fact that gaining access to weapons of mass destruction, violations of human rights, export of fundamentalism, and terrorism are the four pillars of the theocratic regime ruling Iran.

    The ultimate solution for getting rid of the mullahs’ religious fascism in Iran, is changing this illegitimate regime at the hands of the Iranian people and Resistance.

    Recognition of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, as the sole democratic alternative to the terrorist religious dictatorship in Iran, is imperative to rectifying and ending the disastrous U.S. policy of appeasement over the past four decades. The clerical regime which holds the world’s record in executions will only understand the decisive language of force.

    On behalf of the Iranian Resistance which has called for arms and oil embargo of the mullahs’ religious dictatorship since 1981, Maryam Rajavi reiterated on the need to take the following steps:

    1. Recognition of the Iranian people’s right to resistance to overthrow the mullahs’ religious fascism and achieve freedom;

    2. Designation of the IRGC (Revolutionary Guard Corps) and the MOIS (Ministry of Intelligence and Security) in their entireties as terrorist entities by the U.S. and the European Union;

    3. Expulsion of the mullahs’ intelligence agents and mercenaries of the terrorist Qods Force from the U.S. and Europe;

    4. Referring the dossier of human rights violations in Iran to the UN Security Council after 65 United Nations censures;

    5. Supporting the referral of the dossier of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran to the International Court;

    6. Ouster of the mullahs’ illegitimate regime from the UN and recognition of representation by the Iranian people’s just Resistance;

    7. Decisive expulsion of Iran’s ruling religious fascism and its forces from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Afghanistan;

    8. Compelling the government of Iraq to pay compensation for the properties, equipment, arms and base camps the PMOI/MEK and the National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA) had fully paid for and whose documents are available.

    US Releases Report on Iran Regime’s Destructive Behavior

    US Releases Report on Iran Regime’s Destructive Behaviour

    The US State Department has released an extensive report detailing the Iranian Regime’s “destructive behavior” at home and abroad shortly before the 40th anniversary of the mullahs stealing power.

    The report, entitled Outlaw Regime: A Chronicle of Iran’s Destructive Activities, goes into stark detail about Iran’s support for terrorism, illicit financial activities, abuse of human rights, environmental exploitation, its missile program, a threat to cyber security, and a threat to maritime security.

    The report starts with a letter from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who explains why the US withdrew from the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal and how the Iranian Regime will suffer as a result.

    He wrote that the current US policy on Iran reflected that Iran is “not a normal state”, arguing that normal states don’t:

    • attack embassies and military installations in peacetime

    • hold hostage citizens of foreign nations

    • jail their own citizens or those of other countries on specious crimes

    • impose severe restrictions on basic freedoms

    • conduct covert assassinations in other countries

    • engage in torture

    • squander their own natural resources

    • proliferate missile technology to dangerous proxies

    • violently suppress legitimate protests

    • serve as a sanctuary for terrorists

    • call for the destruction of Israel and threaten other countries

    • aid brutal dictators such as Syria’s Bashar al-Assad

    • fuel terrorist proxies and militias

    Pompeo said that the report served as “a full record of the Islamic Republic’s hostile behavior abroad and its repression at home beyond the continued threat of its nuclear program”.

    The report

    The report makes clear that the Iranian Regime’s support for terrorism has gone on since the start of the Regime, usually driven by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and its Qods Force as well as the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

    The report read: “Today, the IRGC-QF is active across the Middle East and has plotted or carried out terrorist attacks in five out of seven continents. Where it is unable or unwilling to act directly, the Iranian regime has mastered the use of terrorist proxy groups like Lebanese Hizballah, Palestine Islamic Jihad, the Bahraini Al- Ashtar Brigades and the Iraqi Kata’ib Hizballah to conduct terrorist attacks.”

    This support for terrorist groups has been aided by Iran’s continued development of ballistic missiles – in violation of UN resolution 2231 – and its “opaque and fraudulent financing activities”, which have undermined the integrity and security of the global financial system.

    As a result of all of this, the US considers Iran a threat to maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea and to cyber security, where they have been engaging in unsafe behaviours for a couple of years, mainly through the use of proxies.

    The Iranian Regime is also known to have ignored environmental crises that have led to drought and mass migration in Iran; something not surprising considering their “repeated and systemic abuse of human rights”. The report observes that the Regime’s human rights abuses extend far beyond its borders, with the murder of civilians in Syria and the arbitrary detention of Sunnis in Iraq.

    Pompeo wrote: “Iran is a society with so much greater potential. We want to reach a new agreement with Iran that ensures its nuclear activities are peaceful and that its role in the Middle East is constructive. We seek a deal that ensures Iran does not support terrorism around the world and provides for the greater opportunity to its own people. We are prepared to work with the Iranian regime, but only if it makes major changes. Until then, the Iranian regime can rest assured of our firm resolve to counter their destabilizing activities. Given the record we have published today, they should expect nothing less.”

    A new factor emerges and takes center stage in Iran

    IRGCTerrorists

    By Nikoo Amini

    For more than four decades the Iranian regime has been investing heavily in increasing its influence in the region, interfering in the affairs of Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and even Yemen and North Africa. The US Secretary of State Mike Pumpou tweeted this, on, June 31: Iran’s corrupt regime has enriched IRGCHezbollah, and Hamas, and plundered the country’s wealth on proxy wars abroad while Iranian families struggle.

    In order hands, Pumpeo posted to other tweets yesterday as below:

    The wave of sanctions and the bankrupt economy has dropped the regime into the abyss and now Trump has told firms worldwide that they have three to six months to cut ties with Iran or face sanctions, too. Oil exports, which rose as a result of the deal, are already falling. While all these pressures are undoubtedly causing damage to the regime, it is the people of Iran and the Iranian resistance who will make the final statement about their country’s future. The change will be made in Iran by the Iranian people, and Western countries and the international community should be asking themselves whose side they will be standing on in this important development of history.
